Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a gentle, non-resurfacing light-based procedure used both for skin rejuvenation and in the treatment of some vascular conditions. Our 1064nm ndYAG laser delivers micro pulses of thermal energy into the skin which are absorbed by the skin's microvascular network.

Laser Genesis Treatment

When prescribed as part of a series, heat stimulation will increase fibroblast activity leading to new collagen and elastin deposition in the dermis. Over several sessions, improvements to skin quality will be seen and a brighter more radiant complexion will be evident.

Increased collagen production
Improvements to skin tone, texture and quality
Sun-damaged and aged skins
Reduced pore size
Reduced facial redness
Improvements to post-inflammatory erythema (typically red acne scarring)

How Long Does It Last?

This is dependent upon lifestyle factors including smoking and sun exposure, as well as compliance with prescribed topical treatments.

Laser genesis is promoted as part of a maintenance plan to restore healthy, younger-looking skin. Best results are achieved in conjunction with an active skincare routine and strict SPF adherence. Optimal outcomes are achieved over a series of treatments. Typically this would include 4-6 sessions, with treatment intervals being 2-4 weeks apart.

What Are The Side Effects?

Whilst extremely rare, burns can occur with the use of light + heat-based treatments. In rare circumstances, this could lead to permanent pigmentary change.

What Is The Downtime?

A slight flush may be evident for 30 mins post-treatment but there is no downtime associated with this procedure.
