Lip Fillers with

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip have emerged as a popular non-invasive solution to enhance the lips. We believe that the true art of lip filling transcends mere volumisation. It's about achieving the perfect balance, enhancing your inherent beauty, and prioritizing your safety throughout the entire process. We also advocate a conservative approach, steering away from the current trend of multiple syringes and frequent treatments, which can lead to overfilling and undesirable outcomes. We recommend infrequent treatments with less than one syringe each time, ensuring your lips remain harmoniously beautiful.

Understanding Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, playing a crucial role in maintaining skin hydration and volume. Its innate compatibility with the human body makes it a safe and effective choice for lip augmentation. What's more, its non-permanent nature allows us to reverse its effects using Hyaluronidase if needed.

The Importance of Cannulas

Safety is paramount in every lip filler treatment we perform. To ensure a secure and comfortable experience, we exclusively use cannulas instead of sharp needles. Cannulas minimize the risk of vascular occlusion and leads to less risk of bruising and swelling.

Lip Enhancement: Balancing Beauty & Safety

The Treatment Process:

Every journey begins with a thorough consultation. We take the time to understand your goals, address any concerns, and assess your suitability for the treatment.

Before the procedure, we apply a numbing agent to ensure your comfort. If you are on blood thinners or supplements, we recommend discontinuing them before treatment.

Additionally, oral antiviral medication is prescribed for those with a history of cold sore outbreaks.

We meticulously use cannulas to administer the hyaluronic acid filler with precision.

Following the treatment, you may experience minor swelling or bruising, which typically resolves within a few days.

Please avoid massaging or touching your lips for the next two weeks. Oral analgesics can be taken to promote comfort. Generally, we schedule a follow-up appointment 2-4 weeks after your treatment to ensure optimal results.

The Artistry of Lip Filling:

Our approach to lip fillers adheres to the "less is more" philosophy, focusing not only on volumizing the lips but also on enhancing your distinctive facial features. We recognize that achieving beautiful lips isn't synonymous with overfilling.

We adhere to these principles with the use of lip fillers:
  1. Maintaining Facial Harmony: Your lips should harmonize with your overall facial aesthetics rather than dominate them. We place great emphasis on achieving the ideal lip shape, size, and projection that complements your unique facial structure.
  2. Skin Health: We also pay attention to the health of the surrounding skin around your lip. Treatments like hyaluronic acid skin boosters, bio-remodelling injections, fractional laser therapy, platelet-rich plasma injections, and micro-needling can enhance the skin quality without necessarily increasing volume and target the vertical lip lines (Smoker’s lines).
When injecting the lips, we address different areas:

Lip Body: The most commonly injected area with dermal fillers to increase the volume of the lips

Vermilion Border: This provides definition like lip liner.

Philtral Columns: These are the two ridges in the centre of the upper lip. Enhancing them can shorten the distance between the cupid’s bow and the tip of the nose leading to a “ski jump” shape which gives the lip a sensuous look.

Cupid’s Bow: The V-shaped area in the centre of the upper lip.
