At the Marr Clinic, fat-dissolving injections or Lipodissolve are fat-dissolving injections using a mixture of Phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate (DC). DC is an ingredient that occurs naturally in your body and it acts by disrupting the membrane of the fat cells and releasing free fatty acids. These free fatty acids are then eliminated via your liver and kidneys. You will require 4-6 treatments 2-4 weeks apart. Immediately after the treatment, you will experience swelling and some tenderness. Bruising is a common side effect and this can last 2-3 weeks.

Can Lipodissolve be used in other areas of the body?

Lipodissolve can be used in other areas of the body like the tummy area.
